    Map Thread XXI

Hi guys--thanks for all the attention but yes, I'm going to take my leave from the forum. I've gradually lost interest in AH as a hobby and don't really use the site any more. I'm going to let irl work take the driver's seat. I still do get the motivation to work on AH works from time to time...

A map of Mongol subdivisions within the Qing Empire in the reign of Emperor Jiaqing, might be of help.

It would be nice if all posts with maps in them could be threadmarked, using this as an example titled: 'Liangguang & Hebei (XFE)'

Would it be possible to threadmark all the work for navigation's sake?

    Threadmarks: Hebei (XFE)

Felt the urge to tackle Hebei this morning. The idea for the "Hwei" is for the "Martial citizenry" of the Ming Dynasty (an incredibly disastarous de facto lower caste irl) to evolve into a martial class loyal and privilged under the Empire.

I've had a read through the thread--great work everyone! I'm hashing out some ideas on China for the time being. I understand a lot of this is necessarily powered by handwavium, but I think some vague lore points helps a lot with mapping and squeezing out ideas. I think an Anglo-Castillian...

    Map Thread XXI

I think the example of Venezuela, Cuba, Thailand and such is pretty good examples of regimes that have survived complete economic meltdown. The real question is whether the state can maintain the loyalty of the armed forces, which is a task the CCP has put at the front and center of policy...

    Map Thread XXI

I really enjoy the map--but there are obvious problems of demography that others have raised, and I won't repeat them here. Another question is the status of Tibet. Tibetan esoteric buddhism and Chinese buddhism are really as far apart from one another as they could be. Tibet assuming...

Really love the style and the colour to bits. If I could nitpick, Tibet North of the Yarlung River probably couldn't host polities as we know them~ Is this some kind of Turkic conquest/supplanting of the Sassanids?

Why have the Congos united? It's an annoyingly common but completely nonsensical trope. Ogaden exists independent from Somalia and Ethiopia? I also doubt that would be called Nigeria too. Some Hausa related name maybe.

I'm sorry mate. Your TL has Japan shaped in the form of Hatsune Miku's hair, and has a flag with a leek on it--the overt references are there, and removing a few pictures isn't going to change the fact that you've essentially reduced Japanese culture to Hatsune Miku. Nor is it much possible to...
