Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

Same, I was screaming at my book when he kept appeasing Fearherston.
A Confederate American is still an American. Gray or Blue, you can always trust an American!

Buy American, be American! Ford/Other, its for Americans!

Now, a South American, on the other hand....

Photo of Moro mercenaries during the German War in Venezuela (2001-21), somewhere in the Amazon rainforest, ca. 2012.

In 1991, the Japanese Empire withdrew from all of its colonies. However, in the former Japanese Philippines, conflict was brewing. The self-declared Republic of Mindanao joined the Filipino Republic in 1993 following a referendum, both of which were recognized by the Japanese following the singing of the Tokoyo Accords. However, some in the Mindanao republic didn't want to join the Philippines, as evidenced by the referendum results with joining having 50.0% and remaining independent having 49.9% of the vote. Riots occurred in Mindanao following the results; some Islamist extremist groups formed to overthrow the Mindanao government to prevent the transfer to the Philippines. The newly formed provincial government of Mindanao requested the assistance of the federal Filipino government. Up until 2019, the region was a hotbed of violence. Many fled the region between 1993 and 2019, and the many who escaped were veterans of the Moro Rebellions of the 1970s to 90s. These veterans formed Private Military Companies (PMCs) to get cash from any government that would hire them. The Moro PMCs gained notoriety during the German War in Venezuela as the German-backed Federal Republic of Venezuela and loyalists to the Mormon Dominion hired them to fight each other. Moro PMC activity would die down due to the end of the conflict in Mindanao, as many would return home, and the end of the German War in Venezuela in 2021 after Mormon extremists had taken Caracas, and the Second Mormon Dominion of Venezuela would stop giving the Moro PMCs money. However, South America is rising high in the Moro diaspora, as some Moro PMCs would settle down in various South American countries even before the end of the War in Venezuela.

Credit to @CASSICTOR2 for the idea.
that means the infamous ASG been arent around.

Raising the Flag on Fiji

The iconic photograph of six Imperial Japanese Naval Marines raising the Kyokujitsu atop Mount Victoria during the Battle of Fiji in the final stages of the Pacific War.
The battle was one of the last major land battles in the Pacific between the Imperial Japanese and the British, Australians and New Zealanders. The latter of which lost a disproportionate amount of troops. It was also the first time in the war where Japan had experienced considerable casualties in ground forces and where Japanese troops were truly considered to had been tested.

Pre-Second Great War map of the territorial dispute between British Honduras (modern-day Belize) and Guatemala.

Under the terms of the 1945 Berlin Peace Treaties, British Honduras was granted independence from the UK, while Guatemala's claims over the colony's southern territory were internationally recognized. In mid-1945, the southern half of the colony was given to Guatemala, and the colony gained independence.

Map of British Guiana, ca. 1895.

Since 1840, Venezuela has claimed that the region of Essequibo is theirs. The border dispute had nearly started another war between the United States, the Confederates, and the British in 1895 due to the United States backing Venezuela's claim over the region. However, under the terms of the 1945 Berlin Peace Treaties, the Essequibo region was given to Venezuela.
For a while, things were calm. However, due to the American-Venezuelan War (1979-89), Essequibo gained independence from Venezuela and rejoined Guyana in 1990. Venezuela was in anarchy throughout the decade, and rebel factions recognized Essequibo as Guyanan. However, following the end of the German War in Venezuela in 2021, the newly formed Second Mormon Dominion of Venezuela claimed that Essequibo was theirs. Many now fear that another war in South America is on the horizon over the territory.

Pacific front was important of all sides in the conflict. It was obscure with important fighting and battles of Europe and the American that happening in the homefront and People only know the Pacific war for to continuation of the growing fudge with the Japanese and the yanks, the Evergreen rise of the rising sun across Asia, and the betrayal of their former allies during the end of the Second Great War. However, Not everyone forgot about this front as many nation where fell by the Japanese military and the oppression that started in the Pacific war and they weren’t even occupied, by the Japanese, but still got effect by them to this day. The Australians and New Zealanders have been fighting for the British empire since their creation and dominion started in the late 19th to early 20th century, From the black continent of Africa, the walls of Beijing against the boxers and finally fighting the Ottomans during the failed Gallipoli campaign.

The ladder of whom was a devastating defeat that leaves thousands of dead Commonwealth forces in the beaches of Gallipoli, including many Aussies and NZ soldiers in those casualties. After Gallipoli, the ANZAC were sent fight into Multiple Front against the Central Power that lead them into the slaughter house of the trenches up until the armistice ended in 1917 September and left the country of Antipodes losing their sons and fathers. The immediate aftermath of the Great War, massive backlash of British incompetence and mistake, or joining the Great War causes to have growing resentment of independence from the British Empire and greater national identity in Australasia throughout the interwar years that make control over the remaining colonies of the Empire rather difficult, especially in the chaotic 1920s. British authorities hearing the news of attempted of independence movement from the only colony they have after losing their Canadian dominion to the Americans, effectively stamped out of independence by pulling out the growing US present in the Pacific Ocean and using the “Yellow Peril” reference the Rising Sun as an tactic to prevent the formation of serious independence movements from starting up.

At the same time, growing nationalistic sentiment across the twins country were rising to power of their own respective governments. And notable example of this was the new guard led by now infamous PM Eric Campbell who increase White immigration into the country as a counter to the Japanese threat and increases the speed up of the Stolen generation against the aboriginal population for “the protection of the Anglophone race” similar to what Winston and Oswald Believe in Prior the war. This makes Campbell nickname being called “Mosley of Australia” to critics who claim they were silence by his thugs during Election. New Zealand while didn’t elect a leader like Campbell into power as they still oppose with Australia doing similar to their rejection to join the Federation in 1890, Kiwis still joined the cause of The Churchill-Mosleyian government in London.

Australian commandos advancing to IJA position as part of a massive counter offensive during the Battle of Fiji, 1943

During the Battle of Fiji, the Commonwealth forces fought with tooth and nail against the IJA in the island and use every available weapon from the latest weapons came from Australian industry to all the way to old great war weapons from the trenches. They weren’t the only ones that fighting hard as many of the Fijian join the battle as scouts and fights with the Japanese marines in guerrilla warfare across the battlefield as IJN in advance to the campaign, but many of Fijian civilians who weren’t a part of the battlefield were killed the most out of everyone else in the fighting.

This quick battle wasn’t supposed to be a long drawn out conflict with the Commonwealth seems to be weaken and tried after the great betrayal of Japan in early of 1943. The Japanese military tried to shell the Island to submission and even tried to let the remaining British Commonwealth to surrender before get out of hand to match even the worst battles in the war, then some Aussies commander responded to the Japanese proposal with the famous words, “J*p armies, go pissed off”. This single-handedly decision sealed the island fate to be one of the most deadliest battles in the South Pacific campaign and even some scholars said in the entire war. After the response of the Australian officer, the Japanese navy shelled the area where the Commonwealth troops were located and send to Japanese forces alongside them, the famous Juramentado division who deployed in the battlefield to captured the stronghold island.

The combine troops of New Zealand, Australian, and British forces combat and defend the island inch by inch, tooth by nail in every fox hole they could’ve fit into to stall the combine Japanese-Moro forces for just a couple more days. The whole reason why they keep fighting, even though it’s ultimately useless is because of their families who are still getting firebombed by the Japanese Air Force across northern Australia and in New Zealand. They will never to the Japanese as besides of the racism of them as “Yellow traitorous rats” was the fact that they won’t allow a Japanese to sit on a foothold of their home even if they would die protecting it.

It’s lasted longer than the battle shouldn’t have been and it’s drag for nearly two months. The commanding general, of the Commonwealth forces, Stanley Savige decide after the massive bloodshot that make his army of tired and exhausted with no hope of holding the Japanese off any longer, decided to leave the island behind and making an evacuation order. The Admiral of the Royal Navy who tried to fight off the IJA hold them off to evacuate the many wounded and tired Commonwealth troops out of the islands, but the harassment of shelling and artillery target remaining troops on their evacuation. The combined forces of the Japanese and Moro tried to capture them to be prisoner of war with largest banzai charge until they were stopped by the famous Mãori battalion who hold them off with every single weapon they had until every soldier were evacuated off the island, put the last and final time.

After the Massive Commonwealth evacuation of Fiji , All of the Mǎori battalion were either killed or too wounded to fight beside either holding a pistol or the knife to protect themselves from the IJA but they were succeeded by holding off army forces that 10x time enough time for their countrymen to evacuate and taken prisoner by the Japanese army. They were treated with respect and dignity as both Moro and Japanese seem them as true warriors in the battlefield who thankfully sent them into good condition in POWs and after the war ends, they sent back home to Te Ika-a-Māui during the early 1950s. Some Japanese sources quoted after Isoroku Yamamoto hear about the Māori last stand, the famous Japanese admiral said to his commands “Give me the Maori Battalion and I will conquer the world”

Officially the bloodiest island campaign had officially ended with both sides have losses a great deal of the number of men and unfortunately civilians population has been reduced to just half of the pre-war population of 210,500 in just two months of fighting. Either fighting for British or dying crossfire with the Shellings and firebombing in the islands. While the Fijian population were devastating after the battle. They weren’t the only ones that got affected by the aftermath of Fiji campaign…

Second Great War memorial statue of the fallen ANZC soldiers during the Battle of Fiji, New Zealand 2017

After 81 years of the bloodshed in Fiji, the battle still scarred the two brother Nations as the percentage of men killed in the fight affected many communities across Australasia. New Zealander being particularly hard hit by the battle as over 20,000 kiwis has fallen in the Battle of Fiji and to put that into the perspective, that more soldiers die in this one battle than all of the New Zealand casualties in the First Great War and make the worst defeat in the young country history. This battle was an important event for both countries after the war ended with nuclear blast in London. The Independence movement that were put down during the interwar years grow back with larger force and more justify caused for the civilian population to support as the pro British government tried to desperately resist against the protesters. People compared to bloody battle of Fiji to Churchill failed operation in Gallipoli who fail miserably. Even historians and military experts often called the Fiji campaign as “The Second Gallipoli”.

The loss of popularity in the government and the lost of the war cost the downfall of Campbell government. This caused revolution in the countries and immediately after taking power, Australia and New Zealand leave the Commonwealth for good. Soon most of the nationalist leaders go on trial on their own courts for links war crimes, caused the crime against peace, multiple corruption and treasonous charges against the new government then either imprisoned or executed for their actions in the Second Great War. After the revolution that remove any pro-British sentiment from the nation government. Australasia a lie with the US for protection against a Japanese as a rising power all the way to this day.

This doesn’t mean Japan either as it was particularly hard with the high amount of casualty suffered regarding the IJA and their Moro allies. The estimates of the Japanese losses during the Battle of Fiji were debated rather or not it’s true among SGW historians but the IJA reports after the bloody campaign is 10,000 troops. This large amount of troops dead of only one battle in small islands make the Japanese military command of not considered to invade Australia and New Zealand as planned because of the large amount of casualties in men and resources to Waste to drag the war a lot longer than it should be. Military commanders decided only to fire bomb and cause massive damage in the city of the two nations before they sued for peace to the Central Power, but even after the peace accord.

Even after all of that, the sacrifices, and the great cost of this unknown battle shouldn’t be forgotten because it isn’t as famous as the defense of Warsaw and the bloody stalemate of Pittsburgh, let remembered the man who died and fought here.

Regardless of what they come from the old Sydney streets of New South Wales, calming beaches of South Islands, Beautiful inside of the Mosque in Mindanao sultanate and the surrounding of Cherry blossoms trees in the Japan.

Lest we forget
