Today over a cup of tea couple of collegues and I had a discussion on the impact of Croatia staying part of Middle Francia and later becoming part of the Eastern Francia and HRE rather than becoming independent in the last quarter of the 9th century.
I am considering making a timeline about that but would first like some input from you guys.
We think that Magyar might be pushed out of Transdanubia with lover panonnia having support from the south and west rather than sticking to the east as an apendix. The other thing that might be spirited away is powerful Venetia due to all those ports on the eastern shore that would be directly ruled by EF/HRE. At the same time that could mean no 1204 Constantinopole fiasco.
