WI: Libya defeats Chad

In from the late 70s to the late 80s there was conlifct in africa between Chad and Libya. In the end Libya lose but it was also known as the Toyota War.
So let's say that the Soviets and the Eastern Bloc decide to give more weapons, supplies and even soldiers to help Gaddafi and defeat Chad.
What would happen next ? (Apart from the memes)
How would North Africa be in the 90s, 2000s and 2010s ?
What would Gaddafi do next ?

I don't see the Eastern Bloc trying to turn a conflict between Libya and Chad into a full-blown proxy war, and troops on the ground are out of the question. France would not allow the Chadians to fall fully, and as in OTL would dump aid to help Chad retake their capital

Why would more weapons and aid change anything? The Libyans already dramatically overmatched the Chadians in pretty much every regard - they had actual armored divisions, aircraft, attack helicopters, far more troops, defensive lines, artillery, etc. The problem is that the Libyans were incompetent and incapable. More aid and weapons would just mean more troops captured or annihilated by the Chadians. You need to change the Libyan army and its composition and effectiveness to get the Libyans to win the war, no amount of Soviet aid will handwave the disaster that was the Libyan army to victory.

To be fair, no amount of Libyan competence can challenge Chadians on Toyotas

Chadians lived somewhere right ? villages or towns
How about going straight for them with barrel bombers at night
Also how can the petrol supplies for Toyotas be cut off

I can see a east German Afrika korps in this TL
